George W. Tempest Jr., 69, of Sipes Lane, Mohawk, died Monday at his home.
Mr. Tempest was a son of the late Ruby (Buckingham) and George Tempest, Sr. of Ridgeway, Wis.
He was a member of Primitive Methodist Church of Ridgeway.
Mr. Tempest retired as brick mason after 53 years.
His family noted, "He spent the last six years helping the family run and take care of The Country Flea Market, where he enjoyed meeting people from all over, and they enjoyed his company as well."
Survivors include his wife: Kathy (Sipe) Tempest; a son: Rickey Tempest; a daughter: Vickey Ramey of Mohawk; five grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law: Shelby Tempest, Michael Tempest, Rebecca Tempest, and Caitlin Tempest, all of Mohawk, David and Kellie (Hensley) Ramey; one great-grandson: Devyn Ramey of Chuckey; two sisters: Dorthy Komplin and Shirley Nelson, both of Ridgeway; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-laws: Bill and Mary (Sipe) Atkinson and Ella (Sipe) Horner of Janesville, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
