Eva Mae McAmis

Eva Mae McAmis, 83, of the Kingsport Highway, Greeneville, died Tuesday morning at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
Born Dec. 21, 1925, in Greene County, she was a daughter of the late Tine and Essie Harmon.
Her family noted, "She was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended Gass Memorial Church, as long as her health permitted. She loved being outdoors working in her flowers, garden, and on the family farm."
She was the widow of Lee McAmis.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmie and Sally McAmis and Allen and Jean McAmis, all of Afton; one daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn and Ted Cooter of Afton; her grandchildren and their spouses: Brad and Kelly Parman, Angela and Todd Johnson, Alison and Chris Lister, Amy and Tommy Miser, Christina and Nick Carter, and Brian McAmis; several great-grandchildren; two special nieces: Louise Gess and Linda Harmon; two special nephews: Norman Hankins and Ben Hankins; and a very special friend and caregiver: Carolyn Fillers.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert Harmon and Herbert Harmon; and two sisters: Laura Brown and Helen Hankins.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Rex Brown will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 at the funeral home to travel in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brad Parman, Todd Johnson, Chris Lister, Tommy Miser, Nick Carter, and Brian McAmis.
Honorary pallbearers will be her friends and the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.
