Ida Lou Taylor

Ida Lou Smith Taylor, 74, of Newport, died Saturday at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 30, 1935.
She was the widow of James Mack Taylor.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Mitchell and Sue Taylor of Jonesborough and Steven and Loretta Taylor of Bybee; her daughters and sons-in-law: Wilda and Jim McCurry of Alabama, and Karen Taylor and Vickie and Trevor Faught, all of Newport; her grandchildren: Kristin Wagers and her husband, Walter, of Knoxville, Stephanie Taylor and Tabitha Taylor, both of Bybee, and Jimmy McCurry of Alabama; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and Frances Smith of Morristown, and Billy Frank and Christine Smith and Denver and Loanna Smith, all of Newport; a "devoted" friend: Mary Alice Gorman of Newport; and other family members and friends.
A graveside service was held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon in Oven Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Johnny Ellison officiated.
