WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- Carl Dean Gross, 81, of West Plains, died early Tuesday morning in West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains.
Mr. Gross is survived in Greene County, Tenn., by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Wayne Hensley of Afton.
He was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Sikeston, Mo., and was a son of the late Clarence and Clara Baker Gross.
Mr. Gross was a U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during World War II and the Korean War.
He had attended the United Free Will Baptist Church in West Plains.
In addition to a daughter and son-in-law, survivors include three children and their spouses: Vickie Alford of Hardy, Ark., Greg and Tammy Gross of West Plains and Michael and Shonda Gross of Salem, Ark.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law: Marshall and Peggy Gross of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, four brothers, and five sisters preceded him in death.
