Died: Oct. 21, 2009

Michael Allen Blazer, 67, of Quillen Shell Road, Greeneville, died Wednesday at Takoma Regional Hospital.

Mr. Blazer was a retired farmer and construction worker.

He attended Lord's Tabernacle.

He had served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Blazer was a son of the late Ralph and Louise Blazer and was the widower of Joyce Blazer, who died Dec. 6, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Jeanette and Bobby Williford; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Michael "Buck" Blazer, Tim and Karen Blazer, and Raymond "Rusty" Blazer; his grandchildren: James Phillips, Jason Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Daphine Blazer, Matt Brown, T. Blazer, and Lillie Blazer; three great-grandchildren: Chase Blazer, Kallie Blazer, and Eli Phillips; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Ralph Eddie and Louise Blazer, Tommy and Lynda K. Blazer, Carroll and Debbie Blazer, and Kenny Blazer; a sister and brother-in-law: Phyllis and Allen Payne; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Bobby Bradshaw and Christine Shelton.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Buster Shelton and the Rev. Allen Payne will officiate.

Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Matt Brown, James Hinkle, Robert Yokley, James Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Robert Parkins, Scottie Blazer, and John Blazer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Williford, Joe Johnson, and Kenny Dale Blazer
