Bertha M. Hill, 76, of Greeneville, died Wednesday morning at Signature HealthCARE of Greeneville.
"She went to be with the Lord at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday morning," her family stated.
"She was a loving mother and 'Granny'. She had a sweet smile for everyone. We will never forget, 'I love you, I surely do.'"
She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Levy Mae Daniel McBee and was the widow of Sherman Hill.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Peggy and James Griffey of Afton, Terry and Debbie Hill of Greeneville, and Jackie and Johnnie Shanks of Limestone; her grandchildren: Janet Wilcox, Pamela Blankenship, Angie Hill, Terry Hill, Rachel Shanks, and Rebecca Shanks; her great-grandchildren: Allyson Wilcox, Jordan Wilcox, and Kaleb Blankenship; a brother: Leroy McBee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gary Hill; five brothers: Ed McBee, Jake McBee, Ernest McBee, Bill McBee, and Rob McBee; and three sisters: Dorothy Love, Corey Crow, and Kate Owens.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 11 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Eugene Wilcox will officiate.
Interment will be in Narrow Valley Church Cemetery in Grainger County.
Pallbearers will be Greg Wilcox, Kendall Blankenship, Terry Hill, Johnnie Shanks, Steve Davis, and Phillip Duggar.
