Mary Kate Bailey

Died: Aug. 10, 2009

Mary Kate Bailey, 73, of Limestone, died Monday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation in Chuckey.

Ms. Bailey was a member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Lisa Bailey of Limestone; one stepgranddaughter: Sunnie Edwards of Limestone; one sister: Dorothy Campbell of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law: Ann Showman of Kingsport and Ruth Showman of Kingston; and special friends: Randy and Twana Summie and Rachel Ritchie, all of Limestone.

Ms. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin and Florence Showman; two sisters: Ruth Davis and Lucille Jeffers; and two brothers: Robert Showman and Hubert Showman.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Donnie Bailey will officiate

A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in Limestone FWB Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Lawhern, Dwight Edwards, Danny Jeffers, Randy Summie, Steve Archer and John David Shelton.

Honorary pallbearers will include family and friends and the staff of Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation.
