Brenda Tipton Conner, 65, of the Asheville Highway, died Sunday morning at her home.

Mrs. Conner was a former employee of MECO, Takoma Adventist Hospital, and Greeneville Hospital.

She attended Victory Church of God and Washington College House of Prayer.

Survivors include: her husband: Ross C. Conner; one son: Allen Conner of Greeneville; one daughter: Nicole Conner, of Greeneville; one granddaughter: Bridget Conner of Greeneville; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: George and Charlotte Tipton of Washington County, Oscar Tipton Jr. of Chuckey, and Dwight and Susie Tipton and Freddie Tipton, all of Washington County; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Helen and Sylvester McCurry of Limestone and Carolyn and Robert Rhodes of Greeneville; one sister-in-law: Charlsie Tarlton of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend: Rebecca Hatley.

She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Arvetta Nelson Tipton and was preceded in death by one brother: Buster Tipton.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p. m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

The Rev. Jim Fillers and the Rev. Buster Shelton will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mount Wesley Cemetery in Washington County.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Tarlton, Brandon Rhodes, Lee Rhodes, Larry Jones, Terry Jones, and Adam Tipton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Rhodes, Richard McCurry, Sylvester McCurry, Jimmy Collins Jr., Dr. Michael Hartsell, and the staff of Caris Healthcare.
