Katie Myra Burnham

Died: Nov. 27, 2008

MORRISTOWN -- Katie Myra Burnham, 52, of Mohawk, died Thursday at her home.

"She went to be with the Lord," her family stated.

Mrs. Burnham was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: George Burnham; five sons: Sean Casey Burnham of Russellville, Shannon Scott Burnham of South Carolina, and Duncan Jacob Burnham, Cody Allen Burnham and Michael Lee Connor Burnham, all of Mohawk; three brothers: Gordon Elijah Gaines Jr. of Florida, Joseph Patrick Gaines of Franklin, and Robert Dwayne Gaines of Mohawk; two sisters: Mickie Land and Carolyn Bernice Fulkerson, both of Mohawk: several nieces and nephews; and her "favorite" uncle: Bennie Gaines of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son: George Thomas Burnham Jr., and her parents: Gordon and Shirley Lanier Gaines.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 4 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Terry Bunch will officiate.
