Clifford Andrew Dixon

Died: Oct. 6, 2008

Clifford Andrew Dixon, 84, of Signature HealthCARE, formerly of Midway, died Monday.

"He left to be with the Lord," his family stated.

Mr. Dixon was retired from Meco Corp.

His family noted, "He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and a great 'papaw.' Clifford will be greatly missed."

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Mary Agnes Wampler Dixon; three sons: Randy Odell Dixon, Ralph Edward Dixon and his wife, Mitzi, and Sammy Andrew Dixon, all of Midway; two special granddaughters: Tammy Louise Ball and Tabatha LeAnn Pitts; four other grandchildren: Teresa Marlene Pitts, Cindy Dixon Knight and her husband, Scottie, Tammy Lynn Dixon, Dale Dixon, and Tina Robinette and her husband, Junior; six great-grandchildren: Daniel Lynn Ball, Robert Allen Ball, Joshua Knight, Selena Knight, Glen Robinette, and Kaitlin Robinette; and two sisters: Josephine Kynkendall of Knoxville and Louise Carr of Florida.

He was a son of the late Dave and Maudie Dixon and was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Dixon.

A memorial service will be held at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening at Mosheim Funeral Home. The Rev. Donnie Bible will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service Wednesday evening.

Private interment will be in the Mosheim Methodist Cemetery.
