Elmer
Fannon, 97, of Laughlin Health Care Center, formerly of Susong Lane, Greeneville, died Saturday
morning at the center.
He was retired from Pet Milk
Co.
Mr. Fannon was a member of Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian
Church.
Survivors include: four daughters and three sons-in-law: Alice
and Charles Love, Willie Kate and Robert Seaton, Nellie and Ronnie Metcalfe, and Phyllis Conner,
all of Greeneville; his grandchildren and their spouses: Delores and Donnie Bell, Amelia and John
Rader, Amanda and Wayne Gibson, Ronald and Susan Metcalfe, Suzanne and Rob Spradlin, and Brandon and
Stephanie Conner, all of Greeneville; and Amy Conner of Franklin; his great-grandchildren: Sarah
Bell, Susan Bell, Alan Rader, Daniel Rader, Megan Gibson, Laura Gibson, Garrett Spradlin, Jackson
Metcalfe, Abigail Metcalfe, Maggie Conner and Sam Conner; several nieces and nephews; his
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mamilee Lowe, Mary Ruth Golden, Eula Mae Ricker, Lois Burchette,
Roy and Dorothy Brank and Ray Brank, all of Greeneville; and Rena and Lou Ferringer of Spartanburg,
S.C.; and special friends: Tom and Frances Bryant, Sammy and Peggy Fox, and his special friends at
Laughlin Health Care Center.
He was a son of the late Alfred and
Josephine Honeycutt Fannon and was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years: Cora Brank Fannon; six
brothers: John Fannon, Tom Fannon, Charlie Fannon, Dave Fannon, Clifford Fannon and Geter Fannon;
and one sister: Kate Bowman.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m.
Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
The Rev. Jimmy Peyton will
officiate.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Metcalfe, Rob Spradlin, Donnie Bell,
John Rader, Wayne Gibson and Brandon Conner.
