Carlie Fawn
Fender, 86, of El Paso, Texas, died Wednesday at Sierra Medical Center in El
Paso.
She was a retired owner and operator of a retail grocery
store.
Mrs. Fender was born in Hawkins County and had lived in Greene
County, Sullivan County, Corpus Christi, Texas, and El Paso.
She was a
daughter of the late Floyd and Bell Ward and was the widow of Carl G. Wilson and Donald G.
Fender.
Survivors include a daughter: Norma Wilson Reed of El Paso; her
grandsons: Davis Wilson Reed of Austin, Texas, and John Wilson Reed of El Centro, Calif.; two
great-granddaughters: Joana Reed and Jasmine Reed, both of El Centro; two brothers and a
sister-in-law: Oscar and Elizabeth Ward of Greeneville and Burton Ward of Greene County; several
nieces and nephews; his special friends: David L. Reed and Rosa Sanchez and family of El Paso; and a
special friend of the family: Pearl Caldwell of Greene County.
She was
preceded in death by four brothers: Tillman Ward, James Ward, Virgil Ward, and Walter
Ward.
The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Kiser
Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday
morning at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev.
Luther Reed will officiate.
The body will be taken to the church to lie
in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
