Della Hawkins Busekrus

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Della Madge Hawkins Busekrus, 80, died Tuesday.

Mrs. Busekrus was born Sept. 5, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Bruce and Myrtle Hawkins of the Baileyton community of Greene County, Tenn.

"She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother," her family stated.

"She was very involved with Sunday school and the children's choir at Arlington Baptist Church. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her."

Survivors include her "loving and devoted" husband of 45 years: Richard B. Busekrus; a son and daughter-in-law: David and Lynn Busekrus; a daughter and son-in-law: Dana and Bryan Capps; a grandson; a granddaughter; and a brother and sister-in-law: Willis and Evelyn Hawkins of Rogersville.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Howard Hawkins, and two sisters: Dorothy Hulse and Helen Brown.

The family will receive friend from 6-8 p.m. today at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville.

The funeral service will be held at 9:30 Saturday morning at Arlington Baptist Church.
