Earnest 'Bud' Johnson
Died: July 15, 2008
Earnest "Bud" Johnson, 81, of Greystone Road, Greeneville, died Tuesday morning at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was a farmer.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Lounell Johnson; five sons and three daughters-in-law: Donnie and Debbie Johnson, Junior Johnson, Gary Johnson, Ricky and Lisa Johnson, and John and Hannah Johnson, all of Greene County; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Agnes Correll, Shirley and Herbert Dean, and Rita and Robert Trusty, all of Greene County; his grandchildren: Roy Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Billy Correll, Lisa Cutshall, Frankie Ricker, Lori Ricker, Becky Farley, Bob Trusty, Mitchell Dotson, Donnie Johnson Jr., Josh Johnson, Cody Johnson, Christian Johnson, Jarrod Johnson, and Lacy Johnson, all of Greene County, Christy Fowler of Mars Hill, N.C., and Casandra Johnson and Veronica Johnson, both of Bristol; his stepgrandchildren: Keith Holbrook Johnson, Charles Holbrook Johnson, David Dean, Timmy Dean, and Sherry Dean; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and two sisters-in-law: Joyce Johnson and Allina Johnson, both of Greeneville.
He was a son of the late Charlie and Emma Cutshall Johnson and was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy Cutshall; two special grandchildren: Dylan Johnson and Brandi Johnson; and three brothers: Henry Jack Johnson, Bay Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home and other times at the home of Rita Trusty, 1005 Raders Sidetrack Road, Greeneville.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jay Hugh Jennings will officiate.
Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. A military graveside service will be conducted by Greeneville Greene County Honor Guard.
Mr. Johnson's grandsons will be pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Montgomery, and the 4-West nursing staff at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
