Died: July 1, 2008

Beatrice "Bea" Kesterson Broyles, 68, of the Mosheim community, died Tuesday morning at her home.

She was a daughter of the late Ottis and Nora Marshall and the widow of Frank Kesterson and Paul Broyles.

Mrs. Broyles retired from Universal Bedroom Furniture.

She was a member of McMillian Free Will Baptist Church.

The family stated, "She was a beloved mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as 'Aunt Bea and Nenaw.' She shared her love of cooking and quilting with her family and friends."

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Angel and Lee Swatzell; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Billy and Nancy Kesterson and Robin Kesterson, all of Greene County; six grandchildren and their spouses: a special granddaughter, Timber Swatzell; and Susan and Marc McLean, Jeff Kesterson, Keith and Marsha Kesterson, Holly and Rich Sahm, and Emma and James Moran; her great-grandchildren: Matthew Fannon, Michael Fannon, Marc Fannon, Gage Kesterson, Madison Sahm, Spencer Sahm, Dorothy Moran, Kayla Kesterson, T.J. Kesterson, Justin Kesterson, and Holly and Kayla McLean; one sister and brother-in-law: Irene and Don Fox; four sisters-in-law: Bobbie Marshall, Barbara Marshall, Dorothy Marshall, and Lucy Harrison; two brothers-in-law: Cleave Kesterson and John Kesterson, both of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Broyles was preceded in death by a son, Winston Kesterson, an infant daughter, and six siblings.

There will be no formal visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in Mosheim Central Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Long will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will Tony Boles, Robin Brankins, Randy Moncier, Joe Swatzell, Keith Kesterson, and Jeff Kesterson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Cherokee Wood (Appalachian Forest Products), Dr. Brad Strange, and Elwood and Mary Curtsinger.
