Died: June 30, 2008

JOHNSON CITY -- William K. "Bill" Hyatt, 66, of Johnson City, died Monday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

He was a native of Washington County and a son of Viola H. (Street) Hyatt of Johnson City and the late William Hyatt Jr.

Mr. Hyatt attended Tacoma Church of God.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his son and daughter-in-law: William M. and Dawn Hyatt of Chuckey; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Linda Darnell of Johnson City and Sandy and Jack Whitaker of Jonesborough; two grandchildren: April Fitzwater and her husband, Jack, of Kingsport, and Ashley Hyatt of Chuckey; a great-grandson: Casey Fitzwater of Kingsport; one niece; and two great-nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Ave., Johnson City.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the South Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Darrell Sovine will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in Washington County Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will meet at 9:30 at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Whitaker, John Douglas, Ed Douglas, Kenny Douglas, Mike Street, Howard Jamerson and Shannon Brickey.
