Mack Lovette

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. -- Johnny Mack Lovette, 67, of Baileyton Road, Greeneville, Tenn., formerly of Wilkes County, died Saturday at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn.

Mr. Lovette was born March 4, 1941, in Wilkes County, and was a son of the late Vaughn Lee and Grace Minton Lovette.

He was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church.

Mr. Lovette was formerly employed by Lowe's Foods and retired as an electrician from Holly Mountain Enterprises.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Stout Lovette; one daughter and son-in-law: Jeanine and Joey Childress of Hays, N.C.; two grandchildren: Kelly Childress and Sierra Childress; one sister: Doris Gar of Columbia, S.C.; and one brother and sister-in-law: Robert Glenn and Lois Jean Lovette of Statesville.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, 270 Armory Road in North Wilkesboro.

The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Leon Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in Scenic Memorial Gardens in Wilkesboro.
