Katherine Virginia Parr Franklin, 81, of the Limestone community, died early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law: Mary Jane and Butch Mullins.

Mrs. Franklin was retired from Meco Corp.

She attended Brittontown Church as long as her health permitted.

Mrs. Franklin was the widow of Andrew Franklin.

In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Franklin is survived by one grandson: Russell Mullins; and one sister and brother-in-law: Ruby and Dub Masters.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Rufus and Mary Jane Parr; four sisters: Lucille Jones, Madeline Vines, Thelma Shanks, and Cleo Vines; and five brothers: Melburn Parr, Robert Parr, George Parr, Roy Parr, and Don Parr.

There will be no formal visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in Milburnton Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Clawson will officiate.
