Conrad Baum

Died: May 4, 2008

Conrad Thomas Baum of Johnson City died Sunday after an extended illness.

Mr. Baum was born in Ontario, Canada, and had lived in New York, Colorado and Florida prior to moving to Tennessee.

He served in the U.S. Army and was the owner of Conrad's European Auto Body Shop in Tampa until his retirement.

"He enjoyed watercolor and acrylic painting, fishing, camping and traveling with his dog Bennie," his family noted.

He is survived by his children: Sonya Heath, Conrad Baum Jr., Kurt Baum, Gretchen Baum, and Taylor Baum, all of Tampa; and his special friends Joyce and Nelson Moore of Afton, and Bill Stanly and Richard Nelson, both of Johnson City.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 Thursday morning in Graceland Memorial Gardens. The Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard conducted a military graveside service.

Condolences may be sent to the Baum family online at www.jeffersmortuary.com.
