Died: May 2, 2008

Glen H. Reynolds, 83, of Greeneville, died Friday at Laughlin HealthCare Center.

Mr. Reynolds was a market manager at the former Super Dollar and at Food City. He also had worked at Greene Valley Developmental Center.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Reynolds was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was known for driving his 1966 VW (Volkswagen), his family noted.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Ruth T. Reynolds; two sons and daughters-in-law: Steve G. and Imagene Reynolds and Mark A. and Cheryl Reynolds, all of Greeneville; his grandchildren: John T. Reynolds, Alex S. Reynolds, Emily Reynolds, Tracy Lewis, and Crystal Ford; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two nephews; two nieces; and his sister-in-law: Louise Hall.

He was a son of the late John and Blanch Reynolds and was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Kristin Reynolds; and three brothers: Bob Reynolds, Ray Reynolds, and Ralph Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Jeffers Mortuary.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the mortuary chapel. The Rev David Green and the Rev. Lynn Mercer will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mount Zion Church Cemetery. The Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Reynolds, Craig Reynolds, Alex Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Grady Reynolds, John Reynolds, and Danny Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Jeff Burns, Fred Broyles Jr., Gordon Miller, Charlie Smith, Lyndel Smith, Bill Dearstone Sr., and Claude Phillips.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 211 N. Main St., Greeneville TN 37745 or to Mount Zion Cemetery, c/o Charles Gray, P.O. Box 55, Afton, TN 37616.
