The ball teetered precariously on the edge of the hoop for what seemed like an eternity, almost as if it was trying to decide who to disappoint and who to make happy.

The basketball finally decided to fall West Greene's way as the horn sounded in overtime, and the Lady Buffaloes had beaten rival Greeneville 54-52 after 20 straight losses to the Lady Devils dating back to 1989.

The overtime thriller provided a split of the Blue Ridge Conference doubleheader as the GHS boys won easily 69-29.
