Wedding Announcement
The Greeneville Sun is eager to publish wedding news of interest to our readers, and we prefer to use a good photo with wedding write-ups. To make sure that wedding news is fresh and current when it is published, The Sun goes by the following deadline on which we ask the assistance of couples and their families.
In order for a full wedding write-up with photo to be published, the information and photo on the weddings must be received at the paper no later than one month from the wedding date. For the sake of fairness to all couples, we make no exceptions to these deadlines.
Note: If the exact deadline would fall on a day when The Sun is closed, you will have until 5 p.m. on the next work day. For example, if the exact deadline would fall on a Saturday, you would have until 5 p.m. on the following Monday.
It is the responsibility of the bride, or her proxy, to contact the newspaper prior to the deadline in the event it appears the deadline might be missed. This way, we at The Sun may be able to assist in solving the problem so that the photograph is able to run. If a wedding story is submitted after the one month deadline, we will be happy to publish a brief story on a wedding of local interest, but without photo or descriptive details.
Concerning photos: If possible, please attach a 5"x7", 3"x4" or similar sized photograph (color is okay) of the bride or couple. The file must be in JPG format and under 3mb - please make sure the digital picture is large enough to be printed. Ideally, your photo will be between 1mb and 3mb. Contact GreenevilleSun.com webmaster at (423) 359-3109 if you need assistance with your photo. We prefer a bust-length or waist-length picture since the bride or couple show up clearly. Unfortunately, because of technical limitations involved in newspaper reproductions, details of a wedding dress rarely show to full advantage in newspaper photos.
