INDIANAPOLIS
For the first time in school history, the Tusculum volleyball team has received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Pioneers (18-14) will be the No. 8 seed in the Southeast Regional and will face top-seed and host Wingate University (34-1) in an opening round match Friday.
A total of five teams from the South Atlantic Conference received berths: Tusculum, Wingate, Catawba, Carson-Newman and Lincoln Memorial. Rounding out the bracket at Flagler, Lees-McRae and Armstrong Atlantic.
