Tusculum Hosts Golf Tourney

Tusculum will host 15 collegiate men's golf teams at the 17th annual Tusculum Invitational this weekend at Link Hills Country Club.

The first round begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning, followed by Sunday's final round which is slated to tee off at 8 a.m. on the 6,733-yard lay-out.

The Pioneers have won this event four times, including the most recent in 2006. Tusculum has recorded one tournament win capturing the TC Fall Classic.

This year's tournament field will include South Atlantic Conference members Brevard, Catawba, Lenoir-Rhyne, Lincoln Memorial and Mars Hill. Future SAC member Anderson will also be competing in this event, along with NCAA Division II teams: Findlay, Limestone and Tiffin. Other participants include: Spartanburg Methodist, USC Lancaster, Tennessee Wesleyan, Tri-County Technical, Virginia Intermont and Walters State.

Admission to the 36-hole tournament is free and open to the public.
