North Greene won its baseball opener at home on Wednesday with a 13-2 decision over visiting Cosby.
Zach Britton pitched five strong innings for the Huskies, striking out eight and allowing two hits. Willie Schlotman closed the game, striking out two in one inning of work.
Shawn Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate for North Greene. Dalton Wright, Drew Lady and Jeff O'Neil each had a double.
Cosby scored a run in the top of the first, but then the Huskies sparked for four in the bottom half and never trailed again. They plated six in the fifth inning.
