A 1992 Acura Integra automobile that had been reported stolen from the parking lot of an East Andrew Johnson Highway business on Tuesday, Oct. 7, was recovered by the Hawkins County Sheriff's Department on Oct. 8.

A Greeneville Police Department report said Hawkins County officers recovered the car after receiving a tip that it was hidden beneath a tarp behind a house in Rogersville.

The original GPD report concerning the car theft indicated that a 45-year-old Greeneville woman told GPD Officer Rick Burgner about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 that someone had stolen the 1992 Acura Integra automobile form the lot of the Remax real estate office at 3465 East Andrew Johnson Highway.

The police report said the car was stolen between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
