Some Offices Will Close To Observe Good Friday

Some local government offices will be closed Friday, March 21, in observance of Good Friday and the Easter holiday.

Offices in the Greene County Courthouse and the Courthouse Annex will be closed Friday. The Greene County Clerk's Office also will be closed Saturday.

The town halls in Greeneville, Baileyton and Mosheim will be closed Friday.

Both the Greeneville and Greene County school systems will be closed Friday, followed by spring break March 24-28. Greeneville students also will be out of school on Monday, March 31, which will be an in-service day for teachers.

Closed on Friday will be the Greene County Health Department, the Tennessee Department of Human Services and the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service.

Also closed Friday will be the Greeneville Light & Power System, the Greeneville Water Department and the Greene County Partnership.

The Town of Greeneville Public Works Department will be closed Friday.

Garbage normally collected on Friday will be collected on Monday, March 24, along with the regular Monday routes. Residents are reminded to place containers at the curb early on Monday, as public works employees will begin their routes earlier than normal.

Offices Open On Friday

The county's convenience centers for garbage collection will be open Friday on their regular schedules.

The U.S. Post Office will be open Friday, and mail will be delivered on the regular schedule.

The Greeneville-Greene County Landfill/Transfer Station will be open on a regular schedule Friday.

The public works department will make one final sweep of the town for leaf pick-up. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the edge of their properties by Monday, March 24. After March 28, all leaves should be bagged for pick-up.

The James H. Quillen U.S. Courthouse and Social Security office will be open Friday.

The YMCA of Greene County and the Greeneville-
Greene County Library will be open Friday.

Tusculum City Hall will be open Friday.

The Greeneville Sun will be open Friday and publish on its normal schedule.
