Revolutionary War soldier Jacob Bruner, an early 1800s settler of the Lost Mountain Community north of Baileyton, will be honored on Saturday during 10 a.m. grave-marker dedication ceremony.

Led by the Martin's Station, Va., Sons of the American Revolution, the ceremony will be held in the Bruner Family Cemetery on the Larry and Brenda Crum property near 2100 Lost Mountain Pike.

Bruner descendant Bill Cheak, of Kingsport, and Virginia, will be in charge of the ceremony with Rev. Sidney Barkley of Greeneville participating.

The Bruner Family Cemetery is located on "Bald Ridge," about a quarter-mile off 2000-2100 Lost Mountain Pike on the Larry and Brenda Crum property.

Daughters of the American Revolution and SAR members as well as all Bruner descendants are invited to attend and participate.

Access to the cemetery will be by SUVs or walking.

In the event of severe weather, the ceremony will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Call Joyce Smith at 639-3567 or 360-1635 or e-mail (smithj3567@embarqmail.com) for more information.
