A resident of J.R. Grey Road was charged with multiple offenses following an accident Sunday at the intersection of Greystone Road and the 107 Cutoff.

Arrest warrants filed by Deputy Sheriff Nakia Tweed said he charged Brycen F. Nye after stopping his car because it matched the description of a vehicle that had fled from Tweed on Saturday night.

After a vehicle search in which a quantity of assorted pills, two handguns and $600 in cash allegedly were found, Nye was charged with possession of Schedule II, IV, and VI drugs for resale, felony evading arrest, unlawful carrying of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond for Nye was $51,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
