A Chuckey man was charged by Greeneville police on Thursday night with a fourth offense of DUI and seventh offense of driving on a revoked license.

A report filed by GPD Officer Cameron Spradlin said he charged Donnie Johnson, Jr., 33, of 290 Joe Ball Road, with DUI (fourth offense), violating the implied consent law and the seventh offense of driving on a revoked license.

The report said Officer Spradlin had gone to the North Highland Avenue area after shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday after police received a complaint of a possible drunken driver in a red Honda.

Spradlin's report said he encountered a car matching that description on Church Street and saw it going into a convenience store parking lot at the intersection of the West Andrew Johnson Highway and Lonesome Pine Trail.

Bond for Johnson was set at $11,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
