Johnson City police on Wednesday night charged a Limestone man with aggravated assault.
A police release said officers responded at approximately 9:17 p.m. to 2717 S. Roan Street on a report of an aggravated assault.
"Upon arrival, officers made contact with Wesley W. Craig, 30, of 478 Washington College Road, Limestone," the release said. "He was identified by the victim who advised that she was approached and assaulted by Craig while she was outside a friend's residence."
Craig was transported to the Washington County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear today in Washington County General Sessions Court.
