For the first time in history, three schools from Greene County will be playing for state championships in girls' basketball.
North Greene High School, South Greene High School and Greeneville High School all qualified for the state tourney with Sub-State wins Saturday night.
North Greene and South Greene will play Wednesday in Murfreesboro.
Greeneville will play on Thursday in the TSSAA State Girls' Basketball Tournament at Middle Tennessee State University.
The Lady Huskies (20-13) will play the tourney's first game at 11 a.m. Wednesday against Middleton (29-2). That is the first of four Class A quarterfinal games.
The Class AA tournament features the Lady Rebels (26-6) going against Polk County (28-5) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Greeneville's Lady Devils (25-8) will close out the Class AA portion of the quarterfinals on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. when they tangle with McMinn Central (30-2).
Since they are in opposite brackets, the only chance the Rebels and Devils could meet again would be Saturday for the state title.
