Flashing Lights To Control Work Site

Sun Photo by Phil Gentry

Three flashing lights, two of which are seen in this photo, have been placed at the intersection of the Erwin Highwy (Tenn. Rt. 107) and the 107 Cutoff, where construction has been ongoing. The lights will flash red on the 107 Cutoff and flash yellow on the Erwin Highway until Tuesday, Sept 7. On Tuesday, the Erwin Highway there will be limited to one lane of traffic, with the three flashing lights now in place becoming working lights to control the flow of traffic for the one-lane. Erwin Highway will operate with only one lane for a minimum of two weeks while the road is reworked and resurfaced.
