A husband and wife were charged with DUI late Thursday after they were involved in separate motorcycle accidents on the Tusculum Bypass.

Arrest warrants filed by Tusculum Police Chief Danny Greene indicated that Carmen Potter, 47, and Allen Wayne Carter, 61, both of 990 Bill Martin Road, Afton, were charged after they separately wrecked the motorcycles they were riding.

One warrant said Carmen Potter wrecked her motorcycle first and that Allen Wayne Carter wrecked the motorcycle he was riding after seeing his wife's accident take place.

Bond for both was set at $1,000 and both were scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
