County Grand Jury Indicts 18 Persons

A Greene County grand jury on Monday returned indictments on various charges against 18 people.

Those indicted were:

* Mitchell R. Sullivan, 38, Morristown, who was indicted on a charge of theft of property valued at over $1,000 in connection with a May 2006 incident in which he exercised control over a quantity of stainless steel and aluminum owned by the Warrensburg Foundry without out the owner's consent;

* Jessica Nicole Shelton, 31, of 2131 Old Newport Highway, who was indicted on charges of DUI, driving on a revoked license criminal impersonation and simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance in connection with an Aug. 15, 2009, incident in which she was charged by Trooper Erick Gordon;

* Danny Ray Duncan, 39, of 431 Bearfield Road, Chuckey, who was indicted on charges of DUI (5th offense), violating the implied consent law and driving on a revoked license (7th offense) in connection with an Aug. 15, 2009, traffic stop by GPD Officer Eddie Key;

* Sheree Lynnette Sams, 30, of 1880 Rheatown Road, who was indicted on a charge of DUI (3rd offense) in connection with an Aug. 6, 2009, traffic stop by GPD Officer Eddie Short;

* Amanda Michelle Lee, 26, of 1108 W. Summer Street, who was indicted on charges of DUI (2nd offense), speeding and violating the implied consent law in connection with an Aug. 29, 2009, traffic stop by GPD Office Eddie Short;

* William Jack Ball, 43, of 774 Bailey Bridge Road, Limestone, who was indicted on charges of DUI (4th offense) and violating the implied consent law in connection with an April 12, 2009, traffic stop by Deputy Sheriff Nakia Tweed;

* David Lee Martin, 46, of 1295 Timber Ridge Road, who was indicted on a charge of domestic assault in connection with an Oct. 24, 2009, incident in which he allegedly assaulted his spouse, Sherry Martin;

* Marvin Harold Dorton, 57, of 7485 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Mosheim, who was indicted on a charge of false reporting in connection with a May 29, 2009, incident in which he allegedly made a false statement to Deputy Sheriff David Love;

* Lisa Susanne Nolen, 43, of Russellville, Tenn., who was indicted on a charge of identify theft in connection with a July 14, 2009, incident in which she allegedly used Sherry Smith's identifying information without Smith's consent to obtain credit;

* Kathy Ann Sparks, 53, of 1360 Milburnton Road, who was indicted on three counts of forgery in connection with incidents that took place on Dec. 3, 2008, Jan. 2, 2009, and Feb. 5, 2009, in which she allegedly passed two $1,009 checks and one $953 check at American Patriot Bank as if she were another woman who did not authorize the acts;

* Brandi Heather Riddle, 29, of 80 Jockey Road, who was indicted on a charge of theft of property over $1,000 in connection with an Aug. 26, 2009, incident in which she allegedly exercised control over a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder without the owner's consent;

* Michael Lynn Thompson, 40, of Morristown, who was indicted on a charge of theft of property valued at over $1,000 in connection with an incident between May 16 and May 18, 2006. She allegedly exercised control over aluminum and stainless steel belonging to Warrensburg Foundry without the owner's consent; and on a charged of theft of property valued at over $500 in connection with an Oct. 14, 2009, incident in which she allegedly exercised control over an 18-volt cordless electric drill owned by David Arrington;

* George Cleveland Hoskins, 30, of Sevierville, who was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 in connection with a Sept. 12, 2009, incident in which he allegedly entered the residence of Richard Younce and exercised control over property valued at over $1,000 without the owner's consent;

* Bryan Steven Hoskins, 37, of Dandridge, who was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and theft of property over $1,000, in connection with a Sept. 12, 2009, incident in which he allegedly entered the residence of Richard Yonce and exercised control over property valued at over $1,000;

* James Michael Teaster, 22, of 110 Sycamore Street, Greeneville, who was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 in connection with an Aug. 25, 2009, incident in which he allegedly entered Brent Gregory's residence and exercised control over two X-Box video games and a digital camera owned by Gregory;

* Brittany Nichole Devoti, 20, of 3124 Asheville Highway, who was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000, in connection with an Oct. 15, 2009, incident in which she allegedly entered the residence of Robyn Shelton and exercised control over two computers without the owner's consent;

* Tina Pauline Blake, 41, of 855 Laws Road, Greeneville, who was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 in connection with an Aug. 25, 2009, incident in which she allegedly entered Brent Gregory's residence and exercised control over two X-Box video games and a digital camera without Gregory's consent;

* Rocky Lee Doan, 50, of 1485 Rollins Chapel Road, Greeneville, who was indicted on charges of DUI and driving without a valid driver license in connection with a May 24, 2009, incident.

'NO TRUE BILL' RETURNED

The grand jury declined to indict Birchell Paul Reaves, 43, of 130 Vault Hill Road, on a charge of domestic assault in connection with a Sept. 23, 2009, incident in which he allegedly caused injury to his sister, Penny Reaves.
