JOHNSON CITY -- Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Northeast Tennessee will be holding an informational orientation session on Sunday, July 9, for people interested in becoming CASA advocates.

Currently serving the Juvenile Courts of Greene, Unicoi and Washington counties and the Juvenile Court of Johnson City, CASA volunteers become the voice in court for abused and neglected children.

The Sunday session will be held in the Christian Life Center at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church located at 201 East Market St. in Johnson City. Orientation will begin at 5 p.m.

The informational session is open to all those interested in becoming CASA advocates, but would like to know more about advocating for children and participating in court appointed cases.

For information call Nicole Gunnison at 423-461-3500, or e-mail (gunnison@casanetn.org) or go to http://www.casanetn.org .
