At least six people were charged locally with driving under the influence during the Easter weekend by Greene County sheriff's deputies or state troopers.
Among those charged was William J. Ball, 43, of 774 Bailey Bridge Road, Limestone, who was charged by Deputy Sheriff Nakia Tweed Sunday with DUI (4th offense) and violating the implied-consent law after a traffic accident on Rheatown Road.
Bond for Ball was set at $7,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
Also arrested on DUI charges during the weekend were:
* Fakharadeen K. Knight, 33, of 1945 Whirlwind Road, who was charged by Deputy Sheriff Jason Taylor with DUI and violating the implied consent law after a traffic stop for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Bond for Knight was set at $2,000 and he was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court on April 13.
* Willie Alvin Greene, Jr., 62, of 263 J.D. Fox Road, Limestone, who was charged April 11 by Trooper James Fillers with DUI, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of Schedule VI drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for erratic driving on Bolton Road.
Greene was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
* Gordon Johnson, 47, of 123 Baileyton Road, who was charged Friday by Deputy Sheriff Nakia Tweed with DUI after a traffic accident on East Allens Bridge Road.
Bond for Johnson was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
* Felipe Leonel, 23, of 46 Prairie Lane, who was charged on Sunday by Deputy Sheriff Chuck Humphreys with DUI, violating the implied consent law and having no driver license.
* Norman Ray Coffey, of 2249 Mansfield Gap Road, Talbott, who was charged with DUI on Sunday by Trooper Mike Moberley after a traffic stop for driving 68 mph in a 45-mph zone on Fish Hatchery Road.
Bond for Coffey was set at $1,000. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
