Jarden Zinc Products, which has a manufacturing plant in Greeneville, has announced its appointment of Christine S. Mathews, a certified public accountant, as the company's vice president of finance.
A company press release said, "Chris brings extensive financial and accounting experience in a variety of industries including manufacturing, oil and gas and consulting."
Mathews earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degee in controllership, both from Texas Tech University.
She lives in Morristown with her husband and three children, a 13-year-old son and two girls, 11 and 9 years old.
The press release said, "As a busy mom, she enjoys watching her three children play basketball and soccer. When time allows, she enjoys reading."
The Jarden Zinc Products plant is located at 2500 Old Stage Road.
The Jarden corporation describes itself as "the largest producer of zinc strip and zinc strip products in North America with a variety of applications including coins, fuses, roofing and rain goods, plumbing fixtures and cathodic protection products."
