The General Morgan Inn and Greene Coach Tours were recently named "Associate of the Year" and "Tour Operator of the Year," respectively, by the Tennessee Motor Coach Association.
The awards were presented at the convention's closing dinner on Feb. 3, in Chattanooga.
"Associate of the Year" was presented to Ginger Dugger, director of guest services at the General Morgan Inn, for her efforts to work with tour operators and planners visiting Northeast Tennessee.
Other nominees included Opryland Hotel's Gaylord Attractions, The Tennessee Aquarium, and The Galt House Hotel of Louisville, Ky.
Russell and Sheila Ooten, of Greene Coach Tours, were recognized for their significant contributions to the Tennessee Motorcoach Association.
Greene Coach Tours, one of Tennessee's oldest continuously operating coach companies, received the top honors as the Association's "Operator of the Year."
Vera Ann Myers was also recognized at the convention with a nomination to the Association's board of directors.
Myers' Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch is one of Greene County's family-owned working farms and a regular stop for educational field trips.
Tour operators were impressed with the wide range of activities the site offers and complimented Myers' approach to agri-tourism.
