Misty Kite-Fezell, of Greeneville, was named the number one Farm Bureau insurance agent in Tennessee for 2009 during the 60th annual Farm Bureau Insurance Agents Conference awards ceremony in Franklin.

Kite-Fezell is with Farm Bureau Insurance of Greene County. Her office is at 1431 W. Main St.

She and her husband, Doug, have five children.

The Franklin awards ceremony capped off a day of seminars, information exchange and networking at the Marriott Cool Springs, where 440 agents and home-office staff members gathered on July 30-31.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee is the trade name for the group of companies including Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and Tennessee Farmers Life Insurance Company.

Headquartered in Columbia, Tenn., the companies provide insurance services for members of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation.

The company says it is "the state's number-one seller of individual life policies, and among the leaders in automobile and home insurance in Tennessee."
