E Z Rentals will open in its new location on Tusculum Boulevard next to Pizza Hut on Wednesday, July 1.

The home furnishing rental company will relocate from its location at 201 W. Summer St. to its new location in the building formerly occupied by Monk's Appliance Store at 1001 Tusculum Blvd.

The company specializes in rent-to-own items such as furniture, home appliances and electronics.

"It is a better location," said store manager Robert Mac Donald. "The showroom is bigger, more advanced, and more high tech."

The new location will be a "super store," with a chance to expand the business, Mac Donald said.

"We recently opened a super store in Sevierville, and it has been very successful for us," said district manager Bill Henderson.

The new local store on Tusculum Boulevard will feature higher-end electronics and furniture and will offer retail sales in addition to its rent-to-own purchases.

"We are trying to bring high-quality, low-cost merchandise to the Greeneville area," said Mac Donald.

Promotions for the July 1 opening will include $100 off the first month of rental and $100 off any retail purchase of $799 or more to everyone who attends the grand opening. Refreshments will be provided.
