Tennessee Career Center workshops planned for April will teach job-seekers basic computer skills, interview techniques and how to operate office equipment.

The workshops, held at the Tennessee Career Centers at Morristown and Talbott, are sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Walters State Community College's Center for Workforce Development.

Workshops at the Career Center in Morristown include Office Equipment Training (April 15) and Polishing a Professional Presence and Interviewing Skills (April 29).

The center is located on the Morristown campus of Walters State Community College in the Clifford H. "Bo" Henry Center for Business and Technology.

Workshops planned at the Career Center at Talbott include the Computer Literacy series, which begins April 9; and resume labs planned from 2 to 4 p.m. on each Wednesday in April.

The center is located in the Alpha Square Shopping Center on West Andrew Johnson Highway.

Both centers offer a resource lab with computers, printers and fax machines that job seekers can use at no charge.

Centers also may provide information about the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Tennessee Technology Center, Adult Education Program, Walters State Community College and Workforce Investment.

All services are free to anyone who is at least 18 years old.
